We all know that the last six months have been unprecedented for just about every individual, industry and venue in the UK if not the world. As Covid-19 infection rates increased, the events team at University of London Venues made the difficult but responsible decision to temporarily close. We are now proud to announce that as of October 1st we will be opening up our iconic events spaces for event hire once again. We’ve worked tirelessly to implement stringent safety measures and guidelines that will guarantee a safe risk-free environment for all attendees.

The elegance of University of London Venues

With the new-normal fast taking shape, now has never been a better time to plan for your event at one of London’s stylish venues. Senate House is a setting as iconic as it is beautiful with its lofty 1920’s art deco elegance, marble halls and grand interiors. The building’s magnificent halls, rooms and gardens are extremely adaptable therefore making it one of the most flexible event spaces in London. Our venues such as Senate House have been used for filming, lunches, conferences, meetings, parties and gala dinners to name a few. The modern Garden Halls site also holds some of the most spacious and modern meeting rooms in the city whilst Student Central provides meeting spaces of many capacities.

A place for conferences

If you are organising a conference you need a setting that makes an impact and promotes a feeling of celebration. Conferences are an occasion so what better way than to host the coming together of expertise and knowledge than to base your event in one of our prestigious hall spaces. No matter the scale of your conference, our selection of small, medium and large spaces will guarantee the right fit for your needs.

The best meeting rooms in central London

University of London Venues also offers some of the most impressive meeting rooms in central London. Whether it’s a lecture, business meeting or an academic pursuit, Senate house, Student Central and Garden Halls have meeting rooms of many capacities ranging from board room, lecture hall to more collaborative layouts. Not only can you make a great impression with impressive surroundings, our venues are also located right next to Kings Cross, one of London’s most connected transport hubs. This gives your meetings a beautiful setting combined with great accessibility.

Unbeatable location for filming

Senate house has been immortalised in countless Hollywood productions including James Bond, Batman Begins and The Fast and Furious to name a few! Locations such as the foyer and Crush Hall provide a stunningly ornate backdrop steeped in history - perfect for scenes that need to ooze grandeur and style. The green areas of Mallet Street garden and Gordon square also provide a tranquil natural backdrop for outside scenes that require depth and plant life. It’s also for this reason that both Malet Street Garden and Gordon square are very popular settings for photoshoots.

Officially recognised as a safe event space

The safety of our guests is paramount which is why we’ve taken some extra steps to achieve the highest standard of public health safety.  All of our venues have received Visit Britain’s “Good to go” status, an official classification given to venues that have implemented the necessary safety standards required to resume business as usual. We’ve also received the AIM secure accreditation which recognises University of London Venues’ facilities as being of an exceptionally high standard and upholding of government health and hygiene protocols. As part of our new government health-aligned safely policy, we have now increased surface cleaning frequency, set up sanitising stations, raised partitions, limited capacity and implemented special entry and exit procedures to streamline visitor traffic.

We will continue to operate in line with government advice and will be flexible and responsive to any changes in policy that may occur. As such, our dedicated events team will be on hand to implement these changes to your event in the best possible way. This means that you can have full peace of mind that your event will be responsibly managed with minimal risk to all guests.

University of London Venues is also offering innovative outdoor event alternatives which have become very popular in the wake of the Covid pandemic. Our Gordon square and Woburn Square sites are just two of the three outdoor event spaces that would be perfect for drinks, parties or ceremonies.
