Senate House is the ideal central London venue for your event.

An Unforgettable Welcome Reception

When UCL School of Management came to us looking for an elegant blank-space venue for a welcoming reception for new students - we knew just the place…

Beveridge Hall – Spacious, Flexible, Unforgettable

With a sense of history and style as well as space for over 450 people, Beveridge Hall was the perfect venue for the UCL School of Management New Student Welcome and Personal Tutor Reception. We were asked to provide a welcoming and spacious environment for new student inductions. It needed to feel relaxed but still echo the history and prestige of the University.

With natural acoustics, excellent audio-visual facilities and flexible seating, Beveridge Hall is ideal for all types of academic event.

The flexible blank-space nature of the hall meant that we could easily arrange cabaret, crescent style seating. The seating arrangement gave a sense of space but also allowed for the UCL students to chat and mingle easily. Beveridge hall was transformed and our event team pulled out all the stops to ensure the event ran smoothly. With a dedicated event co-ordinator allocated to you, you can be certain your event will run smoothly. As Pearl Ashley from UCL noted: ‘Jelony Osa and the porters were very helpful.’

Delicious Food on a Budget

UCL School of Management wanted the convenience of a finger buffet. Our in-house chefs know how to pack a punch in terms of flavour and devised a delicious spread of finger food.

With the in-house catering team at Senate House, we can offer the highest level of service whatever your requirements. We offer a multitude of different menu options, from high-end to those looking to host on a budget too. We’re lucky to have special rates with local hotels, ensuring you can house your guests easily.

‘Senate House is the one stop place to hold events as the staff are very helpful and the facilities are great.’

A Great Success

The UCL School of Management were very pleased as the event was a resounding success. Pearl Ashley confirmed afterwards: ‘Senate House is the one stop place to hold events as the staff are very helpful and the facilities are great.’

“The facilities offered at Senate House made it a perfect place to launch the first ever SOAS Alumni & Friends Weekend.
Beveridge Hall is elegantly furnished, and remarkably, it allows speakers to retain an intimacy with a large audience of up to 450 people. It must be one of the best lecture halls of its size. Macmillan Hall was also a great place to host a pre-event reception. And the UoL staffs were a pleasure to work with throughout.”
