Macmillan Hall - London Conference Room
The Macmillan Hall is one of the largest flat-floor, dedicated conference rooms in London. Built in 1936, it was one of the University of London’s main meeting rooms and has since been in continual use for conferences, meetings and as a dining room.
The recent refurbishment has equipped it with programmable lighting, full network access and a new energy-efficient heating system. Completely versatile in terms of layout and ambience, the Macmillan Hall can be a conference room and exhibition space by day and a gala dinner venue by night. When used in conjunction with the Beveridge Hall and Crush Halls, it forms an impressively integrated and inspiring conference space. With an extensive suite of supporting rooms, breakout areas and group meeting facilities located within the precinct, Senate House is equipped to offer a complete package centred on itsprincipal spaces.
The Macmillan Hall retains many of its original features and boasts two stunning mirrors that mark the Chancellorship of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother from 1955 to 1980 and the current Chancellor, HRH the Princess Royal from 1981.
