First Floor Premier Rooms - Meeting Venues in London
The Court Room, Jessel Room and Senate Room are very special. They were built to be the premier meeting rooms of the governing bodies of the University of London and retain a palpable sense of history.
Today, these rooms possess a grand sense of occasion, stunning décor and walnut panelling. Quiet and self-contained, they make a great venue for business meetings, dinners and special occasions.
The Senate Room is arranged on three stepped levels, with fixed seats for up to 64 delegates, each with its own leather worktop, desk light and microphone.
The Court Room can comfortably accommodate up to 30 people in a boardroom style meeting, and the Jessel Room is equally suited to formal dinners for up to 20 and buffet receptions for up to 60.
The Athlone, Holden and Torrington Rooms are distinguished meeting venues that were created to accommodate the committee meetings of the University. These are rooms of generous proportions, half panelled in oak and accessed from the impressive Grand Lobby on the first floor.
Today, completely restored and enhanced by the addition of energy-saving technology and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, they provide the perfect setting for a formal meeting, seminar or training session in central London.
