Senate House, the art deco centrepiece of the University of London, has launched a ‘Scrooge’ Christmas package offering guests a back to basics party option this festive season. Rise in inflation and slow wage growth have raised new fears over economic recovery and additional government spending cuts all signal 2012 is likely to be another Christmas where budgets will be tight for parties. Reflecting these actualities Senate House has created a package which is both simple and affordable.
Based on a minimum of 300 guests and carriages at midnight the package, priced at £65 + VAT per person, includes room hire, wine, beer and soft drinks, a three course meal with coffee and a DJ. Guests will eat, drink and dance the night away within the chic central Bloomsbury venue. Mirroring the packages simple theme, modest style is very much key to the evening giving guests the chance to fully appreciate the ambience and heritage of London’s first skyscraper.
